Tasmania’s Most Romantic Stays, Handpicked by Sarah Andrews

When we asked newlywed Sarah Andrews for her expert recommendations on Tasmania’s most romantic stays, she shared a list of dreamy retreats that tick all the right boxes – deep soaking tubs, crackling fireplaces, breathtaking nature and waterside views.

Inspired by her picks, The Paige delved deeper to uncover the full story behind each enchanting escape – places to slow down, reconnect, and fall in love all over again.

Though Sarah modestly left her own iconic hideaway Captain’s Rest off the list, we couldn’t resist adding it ourselves. After all, her charming little fishing cabin in Lettes Bay is pure romance.

Camp Nowhere, Central Highlands

At Camp Nowhere, the middle of nowhere has never looked so good. Perched on the rugged shores of yingina/The Great Lake, this once-humble fisherman’s shack has been reimagined as an off-grid sanctuary. Remote, romantic, and effortlessly photogenic.

Here, unplugging feels luxurious. Solar-powered and rainwater-fed, Camp Nowhere is designed for deep rest and slow living. A deep soaking tub and dreamy bed nook set the stage for days of stillness and nights of stargazing.

With no distractions except the beauty of the wild, this is a place to reconnect – with nature, with yourself, and with the one you love.
